Welcome to Wetherby Musical Theatre Group
We are an amateur musical theatre and drama group, based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. We love performing, whether that is a musical, straight play, or a mix of everything in a cabaret. We perform shows for Wetherby and the surrounding areas.
We aim to perform one major musical and one pantomime / smaller show each year. We also organise numerous fundraising events and social evenings throughout the year.
Our regular rehearsal venue is at Deighton Gates School.
We are always looking to recruit new members, young and old, to perform on stage or help out backstage.

HOT OFF THE PRESS – NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!
Yes, that’s right, our next show is officially confirmed to be “Jack and the Magic Rope Ladder”, an unofficial pantomime sequel to Jack and the Beanstalk. The Golden Chicken has stopped laying, and the golden harp has stopped playing, so what can the good folk of Wiggotown down toturn their fortunes around…hold a talent show of course. And there’s no chance of any evil-doers trying to steal these precious items, no sir!
We’ll be performing at Linton Village Hall (oh yes, we will) on 13 – 16 November this year. Can’t wait to see you there!
